We talk a lot about golf keeping you in touch with old friends and often times introducing you to new ones. That’s kind of what it’s all about for us and a major part of the ethos behind what started Lowside. With that in mind, we came up with an idea...
It’s a little last minute, but this Sunday, October 21, we are hosting a 9 hole golf outing at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas. We’ll call it a meetup of like minded people who enjoy the game, who enjoy the camaraderie, and enjoy the random experiences golf offers. By all definitions, a meetup of “Lowsiders”. The intent isn’t to come shoot the lowest number, although that would be cool, it’s to play a great course on a fall day and to meet some new peeps in the process. Maybe have a few cold drinks as well.
So here’s the details. If you’re free to walk 9 holes at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 21st, shoot us a message saying you’re in. We currently have a couple off tee times marked off but we’ll adjust accordingly. Doesn’t matter if there are 2 or 20 of you. We’ll start off in groups of four and depending on how busy it is, we’ll try to link up and walk together. Our friend @laurenpaynemuth will be out snapping pics of the action. She took the picture above. She’s awesome. If you know someone who may be interested in tagging along, bring them! There’s no requirement on ability or age or handicap. Just people looking to whack a little white ball around and to share some laughs while doing so. And if you’re worried about missing the Chiefs, don’t worry, we’ll be done in time for you to rush home and catch kickoff! If you can make it, let us know and we’ll look forward to seeing you! -Michael
