Seeing as I'm a very busy unmarried woman over 30, with very little time on my hands to engage in distributing unsolicited advice to internet strangers, I didn't see the "pick me" post till really late, and by the time I could get my 2 cents in, comments had been turned off.
The picture above is the comment I tried to post but couldn't because comments had been disabled, and my conclusion is pretty much to do you.
Do whatever makes you happy; whether it's to marry, stay single, have kids, don't have kids, be a single mum, become a corporate monster, go on a trip and find yourself, get drunk on rooftop bars and dance with strangers, have sex, don't have sex, experiment, try to change the world...whatever the hell you want to do as a Nigerian woman, just do it.
Live your best life, be the real you, don't twist yourself into a pretzel to attract a man, someone will love your uncouth, fun loving ass just the way you are, and if they don't ✌🏾 30 is just that...30. It's not a death sentence, it's not some sort of finish line, it's nothing but a number.
Lastly, MARRIAGE IS NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT. I mean it's nice (so I've heard 😊), but it's not the most important thing you'll do in life. Being a well rounded, kind, responsible, open minded, rational, successful adult is so much more important and if you happen to meet the love of your life along the way...wonderful. But do not make the mistake of living your life participating in the husband Olympics, because you will regret it.
Emancipate yourself from mental slavery sisters.
