lovepeaceandgratitude - كوثر  🐥🌍 Everything I love ✨ #jeddah #saudiarabia

"I came across humanity in Istanbul, and all I know about life comes from Istanbul, and definitely, I am writing about Istanbul. I also love the city because I live there, it has formed me, and it's me. Of course it is natural. If somebody lived all his life in Delhi, he will write about Delhi." (Orhan Pamuk)

"Come on, don't you ever stop and smell the coffee?" (Justina Chen Headley, North of Beautiful)

"Sometimes we should express our gratitude for the small and simple things like the scent of the rain, the taste of your favorite food, or the sound of a loved one's voice". (Joseph B. Wirthlin)

"Istanbul is a magical seal which unites Europe and Asia since the ancient times. Without a doubt, Istanbul is certainly the most beautiful place of the world". (Gerard De Nerval)

"When a situation seems to be affected due to person, remove the illusion and focus on the greater power. To help dissolve the illusion of creation in control of our affairs, recite in abundance: La Quwatta Illah Billah. 🌹" (Qudra Healing @qudrahealing)

"It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it." (Oscar Wilde)

📖 How To Enjoy Your Life And Your Job, Dale Carnegie

🌄 Why I (re)started my Instagram account:

There are so many ways I've been dreaming of to explain this, and so many reasons as to why @lovepeaceandgratitude is active on a completely different profile. Maybe, some day I will have the right words to share the whole story. But I guess at the end of the day, it came down to me wanting to share things I enjoy and love, with the people I enjoy with and have love for, in a fun and (hopefully) creative way that fulfills my hobby to experience the joy in the little things that life has to offer (amidst all the craziness and ups + downs of it that we experience!). This quote, in a way, captures my story and serves as a beautiful reminder to just *do* things.

Even if I'm totally not the best at it, or will ever be.

I thought I wanted to be a blogger (in the "professional" sense of the word)... but it turns out- I don't 😅. What began as a fun hobby somehow, down the line, became a source of overthinking things (to the point of never actually doing them), hitting numbers, and trying to emulate a certain image that I'd somehow conjured up in my mind that the "successful" accounts on Instagram "had to be". Yeah, that happened.

When I looked back at the oldest posts on my blog, I had a sad realization. I'd completely lost the initial joy with which I'd started the project to begin with. I felt guilty and mad at myself for getting caught up in superficial reasons to keep the account going. For not having shared so many of the things I've wanted to, for the fear of not being good enough.
Bi ithnillah, that changes now.

Why am I starting over instead of continuing on my previous account? There are quite a few reasons, one of them being that it just feels right starting afresh. Sort of like the feeling + positivity of infinite possibilities you have when starting a new notebook! #wheremyplannerloversat

I still love discovering amazing new people through this platform and building new friendships. InshaAllah that will continue to be the case here on this new profile.

If you have a blog or account you'd like for me to check out, please tag yourself in the comments so we can celebrate our joys together!

“Instead of resisting to changes, surrender. Let life be with you, not against you. If you think ‘My life will be upside down’ don’t worry. How do you know down is not better than upside?” – Shams Tabrizi ✨
