Best yoga class today with @sammyrainbowfurnival - witty, strong, mindful, considered. She’s a great teacher (GO GO GO you will learn how to touch your nose to the mat and be enlightened) and a few months ago if I saw a cover teacher on the schedule I wouldn’t have gone.

I’m so glad I got off auto pilot and off my yoga high horse and tried a new teacher. .
Still love my regular teachers but it’s great for the mind and the body to get out of your comfort zone and try something new.

It’s always amazing to set the room up (people arrived honest 😂) and enjoy the calm before an intense hour session of discussion, practice and experience.

And it’s just as fantastic to see the theory and practice land with the participants and to witness their AHA moments.

Creating micro moments of mindful habit to combat stress and develop a resilient attitude.

Reminder to myself that it doesn’t matter how fast I go or if I’m first or last, I’ll get there in the end.

Back from another weekend away with adorable family and friends. This time last week coming back from the Cotswolds, I had a huge anxiety attack in the car. I felt totally overwhelmed by everything waiting for me on the other side of the weekend and completely panicked by my to-do list. It took some stern talking to myself, support and logic (of course!) from W and some deep breaths to get myself to a place where I felt calm and ok about the week ahead.
.
Today I woke up feeling the same but I’m determined not to let my feelings and my anxiety get the better of me. No one has it all figured out - definitely not me. What I DO know is giving myself space and stepping back, I can calm myself down more effectively now. I have tools!
.
Instead of attacking my to-do list, I did a meditation, work out, prepped my yoga classes. Took a long walk in the rain and now going to clean the house 😁.
.
Feeling on top of my mental health and my personal space is the best way for me to manage overwhelm.
.
Also recognising that rest is good and the last few weeks have been non-stop so it’s time to step up the self-care and balance the work.

How do I know when I am feeling “well”?
.
I get my big earrings on.
.
I have definite signs of when I’m feeling good in myself and mentally strong and when I’m not.
.
They include the earrings (bigger the better on good days), wearing bright colours, wanting to talk to and see people, not restricting myself in some form (food, conversation, self-care), wanting to get out of bed....so this yellow raincoat, feather earring-wearing, scone-eating day with friends was clearly a good one! 🙌🏼.
.
It’s only 8am and my feed is filled with #worldmentalhealthday posts which is amazing but let’s talk about our mental health on days that aren’t dedicated to it too?.
.
Every day is a day to take care of your mental health - it’s what keeps you calm and focused at work and what maintains loving relationships.
.
Everyone has different ways of coping - do you know how to tell when you feel well and what are the signs?
.
I’d love to hear them below and do one or all of them today!!
(I don’t have big earrings on today but I’ll be calling friends to say hi and getting my feet in some grass at some point!)

✨How many things can you be thankful for? ✨.

It’s been a slow start to my positive October - turns out just saying it doesn’t flick a switch in your brain to turn you into Pollyana instantly 😂.
.
So I’ve been looking at ways to really cement it and make it actionable and real. A magic friend and mentor suggested I try taking a tasbeeh or mantra beads and count 100 things every day I’m grateful for. I already do this most evenings and think of 2/3 before bed, sometimes writing them down.

One after another. No stopping. It’s a very different practice!✨.

Amazing what you can come up with on your commute with other people around you, passing through different neighbourhoods, reading ads about hair loss, winter colds and infertility. Blessed for my active healthy body (and full head of hair!) for a start!

What can you create in your life if you REALLY ask for it, and TRULY believe it can come to you?.

Last week I realised that a life I half dreamt of has been created - working for myself, sharing my knowledge with people, standing in a room of people teaching, laughing, inspiring and creating.
.
I used to meet with a trainer friend for lunch and ask her semi-seriously how they found their trainers - how they honed their craft. I didn’t really think too hard how or why I was asking.
.
And now here I am. In a life I’ve created but with CLEAR intention and full TRUST that it’s mine, it’s possible and can look exactly how I want?
.
Honestly? Not really. I’ve created it but a lot of the time my thoughts and words don’t match my feelings. I will it but deep down I don’t act or believe I deserve it. OF COURSE I DO! We all deserve magic.
.
This month that changes.
.
Only positive thoughts.
Only powerful action.
Only empowering words.
.

This is me falling over trying the definitely cool but tricky @indoboard

Normally I’d go to events and watch other people try stuff and stay safe on the sidelines. But in the interest of being seen and stepping out of my comfort zone, I tried indo-boarding, slack lining, hula hooping and topped it off by creating some magic, powerful energy in @naomiabsalom ‘s class.

Other things I’m doing this week to step out of my comfort zone and be SEEN and HEARD (didn’t I stupidly say in a previous post that I was going to?!?)....
.
TWO Facebook lives 😱teaching mindfulness for busy yogis and professionals.

The first is with @eventwell as part of their campaign week -focused on mindfulness at work.
.
The second is on Wednesday with the awesome @digitalyogaacademy - doing a session on “Productivity and how to successfully juggle the yogipreneur life”

How have I gone from staying well away from any kind of live videos to doing TWO in two days???

Any tips welcome. Universe you can stop laughing at me now. I’m doing it alright?!!

So here it is again, out in the big wide world. A snippet of feedback from a good friend and city slicker who knows me well but doesn’t know what I do! When she attended a lunchtime well-being session I ran last week on how to improve sleep and access deep rest through mindfulness.
.
A lot of people frequently say to me “so what is it you actually DO?” and it’s a good question!
.
Since starting down the Wellness path I’ve done lots of different things. Taught yoga and meditation, taught well-being techniques at client events for hotels and big brands. Taught well-being sessions and workshops for corporates. Now I’m getting into my groove it looks like this.
.
Advising businesses on how to create a well-being culture and how to bring mindful action into their every day. Through coaching programmes, workshops and bespoke events.
.
Events to offer the experience to busy professionals - how to tackle big challenges like poor sleep and lack of productivity through daily action.
.
I love the connection of events and bringing people together - it’s what I do.
.
The last session in this well-being lunch and learn series is today. There’s one spot left. The group coming is AWESOME - the topic is how mindfulness can power your physical performance and it’s going to be good. Do you want the last spot?? DM me!
