I have had the pleasure of training with Loxley for a while now and she is one of the most incredible women. Besides being a lover of yoga, an amazing puppy mama, an outstanding RMT and an absolute BABE! T: Absolutely! First thing: get to know your body. Develop a recovery routine and stick with it. Everyone’s body is different and going to need different things, but finding what works for you and being consistent with it, is number one. The second tip, my golden rule, ice baths. Or, if you’re not superhuman cause ice can suck, cold showers or immersions will do just fine. Post training or workout, utilizing cold can cut inflammatory periods down, reduce muscle soreness, and speed up recovery time. It’s been crucial in my athletics."

Being a girl who spent over half of her life praying to be able to have curves, I am proud of where my body is now. I am not afraid to gain weight, I am not afraid to lose weight. I fuel my body well, workout because I WANT to, and I love my body in every shape it takes along the way. ❤️
HOWEVER, that being said, I do wish sometimes my cellulite would just..die lol, sometimes I have mood swings where I am hard on myself when my jeans don't fit, and sometimes my old body issues comes back to haunt me in very disheartening ways. Try to remember that Body confidence is not something that you just have or don't have. It, like most qualities, is a trait you must practice everyday in order to sustain. ❤️

Lately I've been getting so caught up in working towards the future that I forget to smile for all the things I have in the present moment. ❤️ Sometimes we work so hard to get a little closer to our goals that we lose sight of caring for the things we have presently. Like our friends and family, our environment, or even just simply caring for our internal selves. ✨

A successful future can only be built upon a strong foundational present. So take care of yourselves. Take a day off, take a vacation, take a breather once in a while. The future needs you to be at your best when you get there! 💪🏼
