Love Leo Rescue

This is what it’s all about… seeing them with their forever humans.
Sweet Tulip 🌷 ... Born as part of a “unwanted” litter… Now a treasured part of her new family.

Sun’s out ~ tongue’s out!
Mr. P.

SodaPop is the last of our Outsider puppies and he’s chomping at the bit for a forever home of his own. He’s a curious, spunky little dude who would love to have another canine in the house for him to wrestle and play with. He’s about three months old now our guess is that he’s a shih tzu terrier mix and he’ll be under 20 pounds at maturity. Information on adding him to your family:
Thank you @gracieloul0vesu for the pix!

Hanging out.

Meet Norman. He is an excellent guy who found himself in a bad situation. He was so happy to finally ben adopted from the shelter. But that all changed when the young guy who adopted him quickly realized he could not be a responsible dog owner. So, he left him at a relatives house who is in her late 70s. She doesn’t have the time or energy to take care of this three-year-old pitbull. The family is determined not to bring him back to the shelter and are doing everything they can to find him a great home. Norman is a very cool dog. He’s neutered and chipped and up-to-date on shots. And as you can see from the photos 👉🏽, he is dog friendly too. We cannot take him at LLR as we don’t any available large dog fosters at the moment.
We want to help Norman find the forever home he so deserves. We sent Norman some food and treats and our friends @blockheadbrigade gifted him his first toy (he LOVED it) and took this sweet photos of him. You can see how sweet he is from the twinkle in his eyes and his relaxed body language.
LLR is happy to pay for a vet check and get him anything he needs before going to his new home. We will be facilitating meet and greets so feel free to email us if you want to give this boy his fairytale.

We are going to miss these little puglet bookends when they go to their forever homes this week....

Sensitive Simon is still waiting for his forever home. Thank you @christianshenouda for this lovely photo and @barxandblooms for his special collar.
Simon was found being beaten up by a bunch of thugs. He was then picked up by animal control and, he waited at the Baldwin Park shelter for a very long time… But nobody came to save him. He is now safe in a foster home and ready for a forever home. He does well with other large dogs… Especially #pitbulls He doesn’t seem to be of huge fan of little yappers.
information on adopting this #bluebrindle beauty:
***10% of all @barxandblooms sales the month of June will be donated to LLR.

4 more critters found the forever people. Moby - our 🍎head Chihuahua who we had for over four months is loving life with his new humans. Java found his forever family. He was found living on the streets, now living in the Venice canals. Sundae found her perfect match too with a canine playmate humans dedicated to teaching her sign language. And a big thank you to @jennifergray7459 for helping a difficult little puppy, Hibiscus find her human.
Happy lives lucky dogs! 💙💕💙💕

Good glow up Lambert.
A little more fur on his ears and he will be all set. He has some stiffness in his back legs so he’ll be heading over to our friends at ASEC next week for an exam.

Happy Father’s Day to this guy - and all the dog loving dads out there. - - - - - - - - - -
Fun fact:
In 2005 I adopted Leo from a rescue in New Jersey. When I brought him home for Thanksgiving a few weeks later - my dad didn’t understand why I had opted for that breed, a #pitbull .... It didn’t take long for those 2 to become fast friends. Leo took his first hike that day and - despite the snow on the ground and his cold paws - he muscled through it. Day by day, month by month… Leo demonstrated to my dad the admirable traits of the breed; loyalty, determination, a lot of heart and always a sense of humor. Leo also showed him the trickier side of the breed; dominance, tons of energy, potential prey drive and the need for a very strong leader — (not to mention the bias that many people have against the breed, including neighbors and landlords). Thankful for all the hikes and the epic ball throwing sessions that my dad and Leo had together in the short 6 years Leo was here.

I guess Nugget is not learning how to walk on leash today.

Our friends @wisetailsrescue have someone they want you to meet.
This is Jerome, a 10 year old Lab/Beagle mix who weighs 55 lbs. He came to @wisetailsrescue with a significant skin condition that was exasperated by neglect. He has improved greatly over the last two months, most of his fur has grown back and feels 110% better! Jerome has a thyroid condition that is managed with medication. Jerome is a lover; he will happily take all the love he can get. He also loves being the center of attention, in his own sweet and goofy way. Jerome is a wonderful greeter. He loves people, children, toddlers, all dogs, and seems fine around cats, zebras and kangaroos. Jerome would make a great companion and family member. Wise Tails has several other adoptable dogs that can seen on their website and Instagram page.
