Some of my favorite ingredients in puff pastry | Doesnโ€™t get easier than this ๐Ÿ˜‰| #TheHostessWithLornaMaseko | #CelebrityCook | #CulinaryPrincess | #FoodLover |. Ingredients:
1 x roll ready-made puff pastry
2 eggs โ€“ beaten
125g Parma Ham or Prosciutto
6 x fresh figs
2 x balls buffalo mozzarella
250g mixed exotic tomatoes
1 handful fresh basil
ยผ cup balsamic reduction or glaze
Method:
To make the tart case, roll the puff pastry out onto a lightly floured surface and roll over it once or twice with a rolling pin. Cut 2cm strips off each edge of the pastry, & using beaten egg as your glue, glue the strips onto the sides of the pastry to form a frame. Brush the whole tart base with egg wash before using a fork to prick holes along the bottom surface of the tart.
Carefully lift the pastry onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and place into an oven pre-heated to 200ยฐC until crisp, puffed & golden. This should take around 15 minutes.
Once the base is ready, simply decorate it with the prosciutto, figs, tomatoes, mozzarella, basil & balsamic drizzle. This makes 8 slices...

Beach style food should be easy to eat and packed with flavor - you can never go wrong with Asian BBQ Pork Ribs with chili & spring onion | #TheHostessWithLornaMaseko | #CelebrityCook | #CulinaryPrincess | #FoodLover |. Ingredients:
1 x full rack of uncooked pork ribs โ€“ halved through the middle
ยผ cup tomato sauce
ยผ cup honey
ยผ cup soy sauce
30ml Worcester sauce
2 cloves garlic - minced
1 knob ginger - minced
1tsp smoked paprika
2 spring onions - to garnish
2 large mild chilis โ€“ finely sliced for garnish
Method:
To make the Asian BBQ sauce, mix together the tomato sauce, honey, soy sauce, Worcester sauce, ginger & garlic.
Brush the raw pork ribs generously with the BBQ sauce and season with salt & pepper. Place on a baking tray and cover with foil. Cook the ribs in the oven at 150ยฐC for around 2 hours โ€“ turning periodically- or until the ribs are soft and almost falling off of the bone.
Once soft & tender, baste the ribs with more BBQ sauce and place under the grill until they are dark, caramelized & sticky. Cut into individual riblets, sprinkle with chili & spring onion & serve.
