LOLA ASTANOVA  I slay the piano 🎹✨ Inquiries • info@lolaastanova.com #ThePianoSlayer Watch LOVE STORY video ⬇️

Sooo, this wasn’t planned at all! @hausercello and I did not rehearse and wondered if we could do it on the spot in one take - do or die! 😅 And this is what happened ... How do you think we did 🙈? 🔈- Tchaikovsky piano concerto No. 1 🎶 (1st mvt.) (Watch more in stories 😁⬆️)

Will you be my valentine? 😍
Ah to love and be loved in return seems so simple right? But without it, nothing will make much sense in this world. Victor Hugo once said - the greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.
Happy Vday my loves! 🤗💋🌹 🔈- Beethoven ‘Fur Elise’ 🎶🎹

La vie en rose ... 🥀🎹🎶

Can’t always be serious ... 😝 so today we have a different kind of ‘studio silliness’ vid or ... when I take a break from Beethoven!💃🏻🎹
You guys always ask me if I can play just a SIMPLE melody (without gazillion notes 😂) and the answer is yes I can!
But in this case I took a piano melody I wrote, (You can hear the piano version on YouTube) and added a simple bass line and a beat when I was playing around with Maschine. Btw any electronic music fans here?

Bad and boujee 😈🎶

I wanted to post this theme for soooo long, but didn’t have the right partner in crime ... until @hausercello 🔥🎶 🔈- Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme Of Paganini (variation 18)

Have you guys already watched the Love Story video on YouTube? 😍🎭🛶Here is a little piano solo snippet of my favorite part. I love how it turned out so tumultuous and dramatic...🖤quite the opposite of so many ‘flowery’ versions of this timeless melody. (Click the link in bio to watch the full video!⬆️) ▪️Now here is a question for you: do you believe in a once in a lifetime, epic love stories? Have you personally experienced it? And do you think it’s still possible in this day and age given the fast and often un-romantic world we live in... ?

Happy Sunday fam! I love feeling the rhythm of a big city, it always makes me feel alive and pushes me to be more productive and driven.
What about you? Are you a city person or a nature baby? 🌆vs🏞

Time for another piano warm up/exercise video❗️🥊🎹
Many of you ask me what I do to perfect my technique so this is meant to give you an idea of what I like to come up with to challenge myself (being the nerd that I am 🤓🤦🏻‍♀️) •
First, I have to say that when I am just starting to play, I don’t start fast right away☝🏼. I’ll play regular scales (😴) for about 5-10 minutes before doing anything else. •
Most of the tricks I come up with are aimed at improving coordination/muscle memory/strength and agility.
Some of my favorite challenges are:
1) Alternating between black and white keys
2) Having your hands go in opposite direction, (that run down in thirds ☠️🤪 is no walk in the park, but it works!💪🏼) 3) Purposely trying to throw yourself off by playing patterns that are a bit unnatural, because this allows you to gain greater control of the keyboard, and makes common challenges seem like a piece of 🍰😋.
I hope this gives you some ideas💡to try! Sound off in the comments below if you have any questions and let me know what you think!
(Watch me play this slowly in stories⤴️)

So excited to share the official trailer for my upcoming short film with the great @andreabocelliofficial “The Journey to the Theatre of Silence” that we shot in the beautiful Tuscany.🇮🇹❤️
You will learn many new things about me, but this film is more than just a story about musicians: it’s a film about the beauty of the moment and about pursuing one’s dreams... Talented director @alinadianova7 managed to capture all those elements.
I hope you guys enjoy it! As well as the original track CONTINUUM 🎶 that I wrote for this film. Watch full trailer on YouTube (link in bio) and comment your thoughts below!💭📝
