One of our favorite highlights of this trip was visiting the summit at Mauna Kea ⛰ We were nervous driving up into a cloud until the last mile, everything cleared just in time for sunset. The rangers there were amazing and brought out three telescopes to view the moon, Venus and Jupiter. Unfortunately no star gazing. Mauna Kea is clear 85% of the year but we lucked out with overcast skies last night — even from 9000 feet in the air!
I’m still glad we went up and got to see everything, altitude sickness and all, the pictures were worth it. 🧗🏻♀️
