This is a very historical photo for me right here, a surreal moment in time and an example of how life does come full circle. How putting positive and loving energy out into the world does have meaning. A prime example of being courageous enough to verbalize your appreciation for someone else’s talents and abilities can blossom into friendship.
This photo represents exactly what I stand for as a human being, as a woman and a fan of this great game. Basketball is a connector, a connector of energies and like minds. Some of us connect better than others, but if you’re wise enough and open minded enough, it can be the provider of so many great resources, both monetary and personal. Pooh @poohsnickens ceo of @lacedsouthbay is one of my examples of good energy and appreciation expressed.
I didn’t know Pooh personally for many years when I lived in LA but I admired his game and the affect that he had on others. A man who was so competitive, but equally well liked and loved by so many. He was my prototypical ball player, I went on to coach many great guards after meeting pooh and used him as a point of reference to teach. I’m so glad that I walked up to him that day and told him how he affected my life by simply just observing him. We were complete strangers but now he’s my bro for life! We got to catch up during Game 5 in Philly and it’s just beautiful man 🙌🏾
Remember... people are always watching you!
