The musical money machine #neworleansjazzmuseum #musiciansofinstagram

Tonight I am going back to school! Well, not exactly. I will be taking the six week “Adult History Class” on the “History of New Orleans Neighborhoods” at the U.S. Mint put on by the Friends of the Cabildo. Each week focuses on the historical development of a different neighborhood, starting with the oldest and ending with the newest suburbs. And it only took me five years out of grad school to even consider doing something that even resembles school in my spare time! But I truly think it will make me a better cataloger and an even better NOLA nerd ⚜️🤓⚜️

My best Guys

Wonderful Mardi Gras Indians costume!

Visited the New Orleans Jazz Museum at The Mint today, mostly to see the #HermanLeonard photo exhibit, but this wood block print of Louis Armstrong by John T. Scott caught my eye.

I got to play with Leroy Jones today! So uplifting. Please check out Evan Christopher’s special Wednesday series at the mint and if you are feeling blue, this guy’s music is the medicine.
