I love that after I shower I can throw on some yoga pants, a comfy sweatshirt, and some mascara and feel like a crisp $100 dollar bill! 🖤
Looking back this time last year, I remember feeling low. Sure I put on a good front and I have always been a pretty positive person. But I felt that slipping away from me. I no longer was the strong ski patroller I felt I once was. I was no longer going to all the social functions and hanging out with all the friends I used to. Now I was just trying to get by. Trying to juggle a part time job while breast feeding my baby and learning to share my time and attention with not one child but two. Everyday felt exhausting. The kids are great. They make any day the best day. But they also suck the life out of me. I stopped making time for me. I stopped taking care of myself. I think every good mother does this. We have this natural ability to be selfless. To make it all about them. As it should be!! I mean they truly are a gift right?
Here is the truth. It's okay to make time for you! Anytime is a good time to start practicing self love. Taking care of your mind, body, and soul is your key to success. Whether it's in your career, your friendships, your fitness, your nutrition, your relationship, or yourself.
Freeing the mind of negativity and giving yourself an opportunity for optimal health can make a night and day difference.
