It is so shameful, that the owner of the 40kg+ dog who has attacked my 6kg dog allows their staff to carelessly walk their dog on the streets of mumbai without a leash, all whilst chatting on his mobile without a care in the world what his dog is doing. After the dog he was walking got away from him and mauled one of my dogs the staff tried to run away!!! My husband quickly chased after the asshole. He questioned him on who the owner is and to give him his number immediately. The guy abruptly blurted out some nonsense about the dog belonging to the brother of an owner of a local restaurant and when he gave the number, the number of course wouldn't connect. We have no idea what medical records this dog has IF ANY AT ALL, as many people don't even bother to yearly vaccinate, monthly send in stool samples to check for parasites, or even spay/neuter their dogs in India. It is really sad how poorly peoples pets are taken care of as they deserve better. Rocky is no angel, but my dogs are kept on a HARNESS not a collar that is fitted properly, not loosely so that they can never get off it. They are held on a tight leash unable to dart and run off as they please. I do this out of respect and for the safety of other people's pets. I wish all pet owners in India would have the same respect. Your pet NEEDS TO BE ON A LEASH. IT IS A MAJOR LIABILITY. AND AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU ARE AT FAULT FOR NOT DOING SO. If you have a large dog that is out of control on the streets, that has the capability of doing damage to another animal, you the owner should be walking them NOT your staff. I have been training my staff for 2 years on how to properly care for dogs and it is ongoing process that never ends. Please educate yourself and your staff. For the love of your pet and all pets learn how to control and keep your pet and pets around you as safe as possible. How can you call yourself a pet owner when you don't even care about the welfare of other animals around you. You're putting my dog at risk not providing your dogs medical records. My dog now has to go through a series of vaccinations which will make him sick to his stomach to ensure he's not contracted a disease.
