I grew up on good pizza. It's a right of passage growing up in NJ. Dollar slices are a staple to the tri-state area culture and became my easy fix for cheap bus trips to NYC.
I love pizza so much lol and not in a weird trendy way. In a firm cultural way and I want to celebrate everything is pizza. I want to talk about pizzerias and their rich history, the families behind them and the flavors that make that pizza so different. From now on I'll be posting my pizza experiences with the hashtag #pizzapiethighs :) If you have pizza recommendations in any city and are an artist please let me know and I'll fly out so we can eat your favorite pizza together and document it!
This slice is from Joes Pizza right by Washington Square Park. Moving from Boston where I found the pizza good if you've never had NYC pizza. It was a refreshing step back into familiar territory. The crust was thin, slight browned and bubbled at the stop. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, slightly more sauce than cheese, the slice was bigger than my face, a little messy to eat , the perfect slice. #pizzapiethighs #foodienyc #joespizzanyc
