Here's a story about my smile. I've been blessed with a good smile but there was always one thing bothering me for the past 5 years. .

Yes for those who clicked on my instastory I'm wearing braces.. again! I did wear them like a decade ago but because during my first round of braces, my bottom teeth were not completely straight by a little bit.. most unfortunate and because i was young foolish and took it for granted i didn't wear my retainer. Orthodontist shall not be named :) but she is a good doc, i was just one of the few where my teeth didn't obey her. .

Hence here we are today, where i've considered doing clear aligners with @inspireddentalttdi who have been taking care of my dental hygiene for nearly a year now. Dr Kate and Dr Ku have been very accommodating in layaning my fickleness about braces. Due to my work lifstyle and the cost. FInally decided to them

Clear aligners basically are invisible braces without the metal wire and brackets that you usually see. There are different brands out there but they are basically the same, usually more expensive due to fantastic marketing :) most people know of Invisalign but i'm using Clear Smile which is way cheaper than Invisalign.

How do i feel? It's going to take some time to get used to but my speech is still ok. Feel free to ask me anything on this and also contact Dr Ku if you are thinking about doing Clear Aligners as your braces. .

Cyclists squats are murder. Whoever said u need a leg extension machine to build quads never did cyclist squats. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ This has been part of my program for quite a bit. I'm a very quad dominant person and this move helps grow the tear drop (VMO). It looks simple but effectively painful. Try doing 4 secs down and 1 sec up for 10 reps. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is straight from the man who made it popular and one of my fav fitness educators, Charles Poliquin @strengthsensei1 describing the cyclist squat. . "Olympic-level cyclists use these to attain world record performances in track events. In this variation of the back squat, you want to use a board to rest your heels on in an narrow stance (four to six inches between the heels). The best type of board to use for this is wedged, so that the pressure on your foot arch is minimal. The higher the wedge, the more recruitment of the vastus medialis you will get. You will also find that you will squat more upright when using the wedged board so less recruitment will occur in the gluteal muscles (p. 71)." .

Mealprep joy. I loveeeee using glass wear to pack my food and im making food more colorful now. Glass wear also removes the BPA Free Headache.

Meal prepping to me is fun cause it makes me focus on what is at hand and not the world around me. I look forward to eating my colorful food and I rotate. It's NOT all bout chicken (albeit the cheapest in KL) and broccoli. Change up your meals and enjoy your food. .

Bed Time Stretches! It's a known fact I don't stretch enough, but i've been making it a point to at least unwind myself at night with some bed time stretches. Just thought I'd share what I've been attempting to do of late to calm myself. Nothing fancy just simple static stretches you can do just before you sleep. Holding for about 30seconds each. Don't forget to switch sides. Sleep well everyone!
