We rarely correlate a man’s worth with his appearance but a woman’s value is very much attached to her appearance. Media is telling us eeery day, aaall day that women deserve to be/feel beautiful, even tho that does more harm than good I think. Telling us women we 'deserve' to be pretty plays in to the idea that being pretty should be important to us, that it's wrong to be a woman and not aspire to be what's considered beautiful. Isn't that bizarre? That we're told that 'what is beautiful is good' = prettiness is a way for women to have worth, feeding the pressure of perfection. Perfectionism is just super self-destructive and appearance is not everything there is to life 🙃 There is no wrong way to be a woman. Walk tall through life.
