Push-ups make up a large majority of pressing movements... not only cuz they're great for your shoulders but also because it's easy to transition into some #breakdancing practice 😆😜

Keep your eye on the prize this week friends. Stay focused. Keep your goals at the front of your mind, and give Monday a kick to the teeth!!! 🤓

LOVED the atmosphere at @crossfit_cochrane today. Great time today picking things up and putting things down.

Working out is better with friends. Glad to be able to do #17point5 with my man Andrew @crossfit_cochrane. Great atmosphere and HARD workout!

Friends, workouts don't always have to (nor should) leave you feeling like a big bag of vomit flavored Jelly Bellies. They should have you feel as good as Jeff felt after his workout today!

Just a funny photo to start your day right:D

Look Ma! The dumbbell is floating!

After a heavy squat day yesterday, I just wanted something that would make me sweat! And this did the trick:

5 rounds of •50 double unders
•10 single arm kb swings
•5 kb press
•50 steps bottoms up carry
•repeat the other direction wit the other arm.
#
Fun, sweaty, and just enough of a challenge. Give it a go!

PERSONAL TRAINING FOR THE PRICE OF A LATTE A DAY?
#
I talk to A LOT of people who tell me that they would LOVE to start training, but they either:
#
-Don’t Live in the FAR Southwest where I do Personal training.
#
OR
#
-Don’t have the money to shell out 60-75/session of coaching.
#
Fair enough.
#
Not everyone has the financial ability OR live in the area to get personal coaching EVERY training session.
#
That’s why I wanted to create Hybrid Training.
#
What the heck is hybrid training?
#
Well, it’s more exciting than a Toyota Prius, but also less exciting than t is a combination of In person training, but also online check-ins.
#
You will receive:
#
1 In person training session to learn exercises for the following month,
#
1 Online based training program online, complete with video demos, technical cues and flexibility and mobility drills specific for YOU. All programmed by a fitness professional you can trust.
#
All of these are available to you so you can access them and work out on YOUR OWN TIME.
#
NOT ONLY THAT, you’ll get nutrition recommendations as well to help you hit your goals as fast as possible, but without sacrificing your health and sanity.
#
I’m not a nutritionist, but I help come up with solutions to common nutrition problems like knowing WHAT to eat and HOW much to eat based on what you like to eat.
#
AND, accountability to keep you doing the stuff you know you should do, but don't always do.
#
Oh ya. I’ve started doing this with a few clients, and they are loving it! If you’re at ALL interested in seeing if this is an option, comment below and we can chat about it.
#
I’m opening this up to 5-7 people, and for this first group, it’s going to be the lowest price. After this initial group, prices will go up.
#
So you interested in finally taking control of your fitness, and letting who you are on the outside reflect what you KNOW is inside, fill out the form in my bio and I’d love to chat about how we can make this a reality.

Power up your push-ups!! #
I don't do a whole lot of bench pressing with clients, but we do a whole lot of push-ups!
#
But sometimes, normal push-ups get way too easy! So add in a band, and it gives a whole new level of difficulty to your push-ups.
#
Do these for 8-10 reps, or add another band for 4-6 reps. Your chest and shoulders definitely will thank you!

Guys... we're getting a dog! This guy is coming soon!! We'll be getting #tacotheboston in a little over two weeks:)

This circuit is as awkward looking as it is effective... but I don't know if I've found a better circuit (yet) to get your hips ready for Deadlifting!
#
This is circuit is great for prepping the deadlift as I mentioned, or a #glutes finisher after your workout.
#
It consists of 20 two Leg glute bridge, 10 single Leg GB/side, and 20 frog pump glute bridge (feet put straight together). Do 2-3 sets.
#
This is as effective at making your butt grow as it is for protecting your back from terrible deadlifts. So have fun!

NOT ME, But great picture by @jacekfelix to help illustrate a point.
#
Sometimes what you need is what you directly avoid.
#
My shoulders have never felt the greatest, and so I tend to avoid things like Turkish get-ups, overhead presses and stuff like that.
#
This proves to be a problem for Olympic lifts.
#
Well, even though my shoulders felt a little achy today, i did a workout with TGU's. And you know what? The exercise actually IMPROVED my shoulders, and now they aren't achy. Big success!
#
My point goes back to what I said before: sometimes we need what we directly avoid.
