This is Eve, my gift for Estonia on it’s 100th Republic Day. Made in snowy white merino wool, embellished with flowers of field that remind me of Estonian summer. Photographed yesterday in my snowy garden. Palju õnne, armas Eesti!
Step 3: Poppy Such a beautiful flower, isn’t it?! So fragile you hardly dare to touch it. I still have no idea how to fit all 3 flowers to my “thing”, but wouldn’t want to skip any of them either. 👁🗨 Look at my previous posts to read about the project I’m up to.
On 24th of February Estonia 🇪🇪 celebrates it’s 100 years of independence. This day means a lot to us. I have pulled myself together and started fulfilling an idea which I’ve dreamt of many years. I am planning to slowly unroll it in front of you all. So here it is, step 1: cornflower. The national flower of Estonia. In the summer you can see fields of rye covered with them. It’s so beautiful!
In the past months I’ve enjoyed crochet more generally. Along with amigurumi I’ve made some hats for the family and friends, a cardigan for myself and this beautiful shawl for my sister (amazing pattern by @twoofwands btw). But what really fascinates me is crochet home decoration. You can check out my new brand @disainielevant to see what I’m secretly crocheting in the evenings :)
