Anyone can enter the gym and move iron, with no idea of what it takes to make our muscles do these tasks,yet grind away daily and can't focus and dial in on the muscle effectively to enhance contractions and stimulus..how I like to say pissing in the wind - if your not neurlogically connected to what your working what are you truly doing the lift for?.. MMC is one of the most overlooked tools in our armoury in the gym to progressive muscle growth (fact!) but once we find that connection point its progress path all the way!
Every rep I move in the gym is fully connected, my first point of connection is hand round handle or bar, ( just used our brain to send them signals RIGHT !) so what's not to say we can't send them same signals to the exact muscle group we want to target?? ⏪⏪ MMC - I have been known over the years to do full sets eyes closed this is to truly dial in on the connection /contraction point, the concentric part of the lift is where we will find that true connect and squeeze point, although the negative, eccentric part of the lift is always let lose ( lose mmc connection) yet is vital to be in control of the lift throughout whole movement this is truly connected, also you tend to be stronger in this portion of your rep,you control weight! Not weight control you!.
Lighten your weights it's not always about ego lifts or increase each set, find a weight to work with that you can control and dial in and FRM ( fully range motion) if this is not applied you will never ever find the connection Point ( half rep harrys will never find this), frm is vital as we know if not stretching and contracting the target muscle as much as humanly possible no ( rip tear repair) and that's just Bread and butter to growing muscle,so don't be a half repper!!
Slow it down, feel everything your performing, truly connected with what you are so hard trying to grow,
MMC is to consciously connected neurol stimulation to the muscle in order to maximise it's contractile force - find it!
