Our irises are blooming!

I've been trying to find some equilibrium after a mild #mecfs flare earlier this week. I haven't felt up to learning new techniques so have been working on my #embroidered #visiblemending .

Lunch view. Hanging out at my mom's on this very windy day. I needed to save my nervous system from the very loud carpet cleaning next door. #mecfsrecovery #soundsensitive #selfpreservation

Our neighbour's cute but skittish cat came and said hello to me while I was embroidering on the hammock this afternoon. #reallifenekoatsume

Continuing to learn #needlelace . L light blue: Double Brussels Stitch. R light blue: Ceylon Stitch in progress. #abstractsampler

My Dad's birthday in April 2016 is the last photo I have of him before he got ill later that year. Missing him this Father's Day.

Finished this section of #embroidery #visiblemending on my @smokinglily dress last night. Looking for more moth damage to repair today. #mottainai

The Tall Boy just sent me this picture. Looks like it's time for more #sashiko #visiblemending on the other side of his jeans! 😂

It's the weekend, which means more #visiblemending #embroidery on this @smokinglily dress. #mottainai

The #needlelace continues! New-to-me #embroidery techniques 7 & 10. Bottom light blue triangle is a much more successful Single Brussels Stitch and the partially completed light blue triangle on the left is Double Brussels Stitch.

Today's #slowwalk . One minute from my back door was easier! I think I can do two minutes in a few days. This time I headed in the opposite direction in the alley hoping to see what all the construction noise was about this week. Didn't get quite far enough to really see but our neighbours probably have a new brick path in their backyard. #cfsrecovery

More #needlelace adventures! Found videos for Corded Single Brussels Stitch (on the left) and Corded Double Brussels Stitch. So much easier than the technique I tried yesterday! But now I think I might go back and try the non-corded version of each. #embroidery
