For me, forgiveness and compassion are always linked: how do we hold people accountable for wrongdoing and yet at the same time remain in touch with their humanity enough to believe in their capacity to be transformed?
Last night we had a rousing evening fundraising for our film @disclosuredoc. More photos from the event to come. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this film centering trans lives, trans voices and spectatorship. If you weren't able to make it, you can find out more about "Disclosure: Trans Lives On Screen" at the link in my bio: https://www.documentary.org/project/disclosure-trans-lives-screen
@brenebrown's work continues to be core shaking for me. This new interview with @marieforleo is a must watch for negotiating the thorny terrain of our times and claiming and reclaiming ourselves and each other with love and empathy. Thanks again Brene for the courage and bravery at the heart of this very difficult work. Thanks Marie for the compassionate engagement with the work. This is one of my favorite moments from this interview. There are so many gems though. Enjoy! Watch and share. The link to the full conversation is in my bio
#tbt to 2016 at @variety's #powerofwomen event. Thank you @variety for the love and support over the years. Marginalized people can't change narratives, break barriers, create space and opportunity without allies and accomplices. The list is long of the allies and supporters I have had over the years. Thank you to you all. I love you!#TransIsBeautiful#gratitude#thankyou#love
