πŸ‘TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR SQUAT πŸ‘ Squats are actually one of my FAVE exercises (definitely more so than deadlifts hehe!) πŸ˜† As it’s a compound movement, you'll get to target lots of different muscle groups, including the glutes, hamstrings, quads, calves, abs, obliques, lower back and also works on improving your ankle flexibility!!! I often get asked how to bring your squat strength out of a plateau, and how to make the most out of the movement! These are my top tips πŸ’ͺ🏼 SAVE and TAG A FRIEND to help them out too!!!

βœ– Squat at least 2x a week! The more you practice, the quicker you’ll improve
βœ– FORM, FORM, FORM! Make sure that your squat form and technique is ON POINT before adding weight! This will help to prevent injury and maximise your squat progress. LSF programs provide you with video and step-by-step instructions on how to perfect your form
βœ– Squat variations! From front squats to low back/high bar to sumos, this will ensure that different muscle fibres and groups are activated, helping you to build strength in your weaker/less activated muscle groups
βœ– Vary your reps! I recommend having a heavy leg day (training for strength- 3-5 reps) and a muscle building day (training for hypertrophy- 8-15 reps)
βœ– Play with tempos! Try paused squats, 1 + 1/4, pulses and more to increase that burrrrn
βœ– Keep everything tight! Squeeze your abs, tighten your upper back and push your knees out
βœ– ACTIVATE YOUR GLUTES! You girls know that I love to use my booty bands for activation BEFORE I squat! (check out the link in bio for a set of bands at 3 different strengths, or up the intensity with my fabric HIP BANDS!)

Strawberry Chia Pudding for my babes on Day 1 of our Be Your Best challenge!!! Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel! Eating well is a form of self-respect, so make sure you show your body some love πŸ’ͺ🏼β™₯️

WHAT YOU NEED:
πŸ˜‹ 2 tbsp chia seeds
πŸ˜‹ 1/4 cup almond milk
πŸ˜‹ 1/8 cup plain Greek yogurt
πŸ˜‹ 1 scoop Blessed Or OxyWhey Protein Powder
πŸ˜‹ 1/8 cup strawberries
πŸ˜‹ 1/4 cup blueberries
πŸ˜‹ 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds

Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine together chia seeds and milk. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
2. Now, stir in the Greek yogurt and protein powder.
3. Top with slices strawberries, blueberries, and pomegranate seeds.
4. Serve immediately.

I ALWAYS use either OxyWhey or Isopept Zero from @ehplabs as it mixes really well without clumping! If whey protein isn't the best on your digestive system, if you follow a plant-based diet or simply want to try something new, I always recommend @blessedprotein! They are deliciouuuus and cause zero bloating 😍
