Dear Lovely People of Austin, TX:
This week, @moontattoostudio helped me announce that I would be doing a short guest spot in your city in October, and that I was looking for appointments to fill my booking slots.
And holy cow, did you come through. I was VERY quickly swamped with requests for tattoos, and almost just as quickly I was totally overwhelmed. You folks are amazing and enthusiastic and sweet and you have some incredible ideas. Sadly, the more requests poured in, the more I realized I was going to have to say “no” (or,at least, “not this time around”) to a whole lot of people and I instantly hated the thought. I hate telling people no. I hate disappointing people. I hate having to miss out on new clients and new potential friends. I hate it.
But as much as it pains me, I’m afraid I’m going to have to pick and choose which projects I think will be the best fit for the time I have in Austin and the kind of work I want to be doing. It’s really the only way to be reasonable about this.
So, for those of you who put in a request: when I get back to you (within the next few days) I will ask you about your ideas and what you hope to get, and then once I have looked over them all, I will let you know if I will be able to tattoo you on this visit or not. I’m so so sorry in advance for those of you who won’t get appointments this time. I’m so honored and overjoyed that you want my work on you. Thank you so much for your interest. For those of you I DO get to work with, I cannot wait to start on your awesome ideas. SO looking forward to meeting you. 🖤
To all of you: please have grace for me as I figure all this out. Thank you so much for your patience. You all make my job a joy.
