Sometimes we’re just TOO EXHAUSTED to think about making a healthy meal at the end of the day. Especially if you have children! We’ve invited @kmoremacro to NINE Fall 2019 to help us Plan, Prep & Protect our Nutrition! This class will help us feel in control and excited to get in the kitchen to nourish our bodies in healthy ways! Krista is down to earth, fun and motivating! Why is it when we think about where we want to be health-wise, fitness-wise, LOOKS-wise we immediately think of all the things we have to LOSE or give up. ⁣⁣

Memorial Day is just around the corner which means it’s almost officially BBQ season. ⁣

BBQ season is great, but it does mean you'll be surrounded by tempting foods like  burgers, hot dogs and all the s'mores. ⁣

Despite these obstacles, you can still have a healthy BBQ experience! ⁣

My first tip is to make healthy food choices. Small healthy choices will help you stay on track and still enjoy the food that is available. ⁣

Opt out of a bun for your burger and stack it between two pieces of lettuce. Skip the soda or beer and grab a water.⁣

You don't have to dump favorite foods

The best way to keep cravings under control is to give yourself permission to have them on occasion, without guilt, as part of your weight loss program.⁣⁣
As humans, We make hundreds of decisions about eating each day, and we can't make them all perfectly, you have to give yourself wiggle room! ⁣⁣
To minimize the risk of overeating, enjoy indulgent foods in social situations rather than when alone. ⁣⁣
If you're craving pizza and know it'll be difficult to stop at one slice when faced with an entire pie at home, invite friends over for a pizza party. ⁣⁣
Indulgences can be part of your regular eating program if done in moderation, and as long as you are prepared! ⁣⁣
For example, eating just one pizza slice balanced out with a big salad is better than avoiding pizza altogether! ⁣⁣
If you love a certain food, having controlled portions won't derail you; rather, it helps you stick closer to your plan on other days because the cravings don't get unbearable. ⁣⁣

If so, you can check another goal off of your list.⠀

Don't forget to celebrate your little wins, it will make the journey toward your larger ones seem more like steps along the road, instead of big, scary mountains.⠀
