Living a healthy life doesn't come naturally to most people, even I have to work at it! However, we can all live a healthy life if we choose to; you just have to decide to change your habits.⁣

On paper changing your habits sounds simple, but if you’ve ever actually tried to change your habits, you know that it’s more complicated than it looks. I want to give you the tools to change your habits so that you can accomplish your goals. ⁣

⁣How to not let the weekend derail your fitness goals 🙅🏼‍♀️⠀⁣

You did great all week. Making it to the gym, eating at home/hitting your macros. ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
Now it’s the weekend + your friends ask you to go out, or your traveling or you just feelin' some #TreatYoSelf vibes.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
I have 2⃣ tips for you‼⠀⁣
⠀⁣
1⃣ If you’re tracking macros (I can help you with this) try intermittent fasting. Be mindful of early midday macros so you can enjoy eating out + not feel like you always have to eat a salad w/ no dressing at dinner. ⠀⁣

Also remember that ONE weekend going over your macros will NOT make you gain body fat. Just make sure that one weekend doesn't bleed into the week and multiple weekends at a time. Have fun-live a little 🤪⠀⁣

2⃣MOVE YO BODY! Workout in the morning so you have a little caloric deficit on your side or go for a hike or a walk! Just get your body moving so you’ll burn some calories + feel good!⠀⁣

Experiment with mixing up your routine on the weekends. If you go to the gym throughout the week. Try a spin class on the weekend instead! ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
Being healthy is suppose to be a lifestyle. You want to find something that works for you + is sustainable.⠀⁣

If you’re restricting yourself all the time you’ll be miserable, if you’re letting yourself “live a little” too much you’ll be miserable. You can find a happy medium.⁣

What's your WHY?⁣

It's different for everyone! A WHY isn’t a one size fits all thing.⁣

Sometimes its a person, sometimes its a place (hello, hawaii vacation!) whatever it looks like to you, you have to get clear on why you are seeking this result. ⁣

If weight loss is your goal, do you know why you want it? ⁣

If you can’t immediately answer that question right here, right now (and honestly!) you are unplugged from your most natural + powerful motivation source—YOU. ⁣

Your WHY, or reason for wanting to achieve a goal, is your core motivation because it connects you to what fires you up most. ⁣

The key to determining your why is to just ask yourself: Why do I really want to lose weight? Why is it important to me? If your WHY motivates you toward weight loss, go with it.⁣

Water is SO SO SO important as a part of all body functions and processes, including digestion and elimination! ⁣

Really helpful when you're trying to drop a few pounds! ⁣

When you're on a diet, water acts as a weight-loss aid because it can help you eat less + provides hydration w/o the added calories! ⁣

Determine what is MOST important to you and get rid of the rest! ⁣

If you want to be happy, then you have to determine what is most important to you and you have to prioritize that above everything else. ⁣

This advice applies to every aspect of your life, so use it in whatever you are doing! ⁣

I've decided that what matters most to me is spending quality time with my family, nurturing my relationships and improving my physical and mental health.⁣

In order to focus on these things, I only say yes to activities that will help me focus on my goals. Which means I have to cut out the things that distract me from my goals. ⁣

Remember: NO is a complete sentence! If something doesn’t serve you, you don’t have to have a reason to say no… simply say no, so that you can simplify your life! ⁣
