In case you missed this on Facebook... I truly feel that change is one of the things in life that constantly keeps me on my toes and excited about life.
In the last year, there have been quite a few changes for me personally. Hunter Valentine (My band) went on hiatus after 15 years of touring the world and I set out as a solo artist and tested the waters on stage with just a guitar and some new songs. I explored new jobs, people and food. It's been an amazing journey through it all and I have learned a lot.
I don't believe in the idea that a person has to stick to ONE thing their whole life. That you need to hammer away in that same office, profession or "thing". I love to learn and try new things. I have also taken in New York city in every way possible over the years. Explored it's dirty streets, admired it's intimidatingly beautiful buildings and been in awe of the people who have the drive and almost bravery to live here.
I considered all of these things over the last year and finally decided to take the plunge and try the one thing that I have secretly had a burning passion inside me for quite some time now. Quietly, I have been working very hard on attaining my real estate license and I am proud to announce that I have joined Keller Williams in Tribeca. I made my first deal in my first two weeks with the company and I couldn't be more thrilled.
I will never leave music behind. I will never put down that entertainers card, in fact I have shows the entire month of June. BUT I needed a new thrill and I found it. I am looking forward to never staying still, always learning, always challenging myself, growing and constant, everlasting change.
Here's to the future...and whatever it may be.
