Norwich City Football Club 💛 is delighted to welcome Kimberley Morrison as our Community Hero against Nottingham Forest.

Kim, 30, has raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, won Norfolk’s 2017 Sports Personality of the Year and became the 14th fastest British female Ironman competitor in history.
Kim was born with two holes in her heart and spent most of her younger years at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she underwent a complex heart surgery. Fortunately the surgery was a success and she has raised over £7,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital. “It is such an amazing place and has done so much for me,” says Kim. “The work the charity does is inspiring and I will continue to support Great Ormond Street Hospital throughout my lifetime. I am forever grateful.” Kim, who played one level below national league hockey, started competing in triathlons in 2012 and turned professional in 2015 after her success. Kim took the lead in her first professional race in 2016 and became the Ironman70.3 Champion in Buenos Aires, Argentina while also setting a course record for the cycle stage.
Kim has been nominated three times for Norfolk’s Sports Personality of the Year and took the crown in 2017 after winning the Texas Ironman and The Monster Triathlon, as well as gaining podium finishes in Sweden and Staffordshire and also setting five bike course records in competitions across the globe. “2017 was such a powerful year, I would never have imagined taking five bike course records and winning the Ironman70.3 in Texas,” says Kim. “The icing on the cake was my Ironman debut in October in Barcelona completing the 3.9km swim, 180km bike and marathon run in 9hours 12minutes and becoming the 14th fastest British woman of all time. “My ambitions are to take on two more Ironman races in Texas and Kalmar, Sweden. I love to become a champion and this is what I strive for each and every day.” Kim is also a big Norwich fan, and is proud to be Community Hero for the match against Nottingham Forest. “I’m a Barclay girl at heart,” she says. “My cousin Charlotte Hubbard and I have had season tickets in the Barclay since we were 15years old..
