Many don't realise their starting point and how much fat they actually need to loose. Sometimes a magic 6,8,10 week plan just doesn't cut it. Fat loss is not linear and there are so many variables along the way. Give yourself time, be consistent and put a big emphasis on health (sleep, stress, gut health etc..) and results will come. Don't be sold the bullshit that "My 6 week plan can get you shredded". Commit to long term changes.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Yeees my man!! I took on @deanj13ayliss as a client for online coaching and he was looking to put on some size but was unsure of what way to go about it. He followed a structured lean bulking phase and put on some quality muscle tissue. Dean then began a cutting phase to get lean for his holiday. He started at 86 kilos and finished at 90 kilos and lean as hell!! All this was achieved while still having nights out and a lot of refeeds! Also finally got him training legs!!!!! Great work mate-you followed every instruction, worked your ass off and never doubted the plan! Looking awesome! ๐Ÿ’ช

Bit more size.. but a lot less abs! This is maintainable for me at the moment while enjoying food again!! I found it very hard to see myself getting a bit fluffy after competing but that stage weight and condition is by no means maintainable! When you can finally come to terms with that the world is a better place! ๐Ÿ˜‚

So the last on the list! By far one of the most underrated factors in changing your body composition and one of the most common reasons people fail is impatience. Simply put if you don't stick to a training/nutrition plan long enough you won't see any results, provided this plan has purpose and is individualised to you and your goal. Most people not seeing immediate results will either get discouraged and quit or they will jump from training plan to training plan hoping for massive changes to happen overnight. The more you jump from plan to plan, the less likely you are to visually see any changes in your body composition. Hence why so many gym members you see from day to day, month to month never change their physique.

To get a perspective, generally speaking, I advise most clients to expect 6-8 weeks of adherence and consistency executing the training and nutrition plan before really seeing any results. Even though there may not be huge changes in that initial phase of training what you need to understand is that this is setting the foundations for big changes to come. The first 6-8 weeks teach you the principals of training and how to adhere to a plan. ----------------------------------------------------------
Everyone want results overnight but physiology just doesnโ€™t allow for us to evolve and change overnight! I can appreciate the mental and emotional challenge of training hard and sticking to a nutrition plan for weeks, but I promise your patience and adherence will be rewarded! Just be patient! It's a process we must all go through to get the desired results! Trust the process. Don't get frustrated by slow progress.. progress is still progress! And progress over 4,6,8,12,16... weeks all adds up to big changes!

๐Ÿšจ Supplementation:

Again just a quick insight into supplementation. From a starting point my goal for every single client is firstly to improve their health and well-being. If you can improve your general health, your goals will come much easier. So when choosing supplements for my clients I always think what is going to have the biggest impact on their health? ----------------------------------------------------------
These days there are so many different supplements and โ€œmagic pills" out there that you can buy online or in a supplement store. They promise everything from fat loss, to building mass and improved health. But unfortunately most of these supplements never deliver any of these promises.
----------------------------------------------------------When consulting with a client, I educate them on each supplement and put them onto a website called Examine.com for further info and I also explain the WHY aspect and rational for each supplement. I explain that simply put in order to improve results, perform better and recover faster then some supplements are needed.. but there is only a chosen few supplements (backed by science) that I would always recommend. It is important for me to start right at the very basics with my clientโ€™s. Food is the PRIORITY, then supplementation. Food and training are your foundations and supplements are as they suggest just an add-on to maximize results. They are in no way to take the place of any food.

When it comes to recommending a supplement brand then @bpi_sports_uk is one of the few I would recommend. I use a variety of their supplements on a daily basis and the quality is far superior to others I have used in the past. BPI Sports supplements really helped me to get through a hard prep earlier this year.
