Here message from Karen Berg: What if people all over the world, from all religions, and no religion, united for one hour? How much Light would be revealed? How would the world change?
it has been my dream that one day barriers will be removed between people, and that we will find respect for each other’s spiritual practices and beliefs. For all holy books from different traditions contain different words but the message remains the same: To love each other, to love ourselves, and to grow our love and awe for the Infinite Force that is all around us and gives us life.
As the Spiritual Directors of The Kabbalah Centre, my late husband, Rav Berg, and I, opened the doors so that this ancient wisdom could be studied by all people. At The Kabbalah Centre, we believe that there are many roads to awaken consciousness. At any given connection, at any one of our Centres, you might see a Jewish person praying next to a Christian, next to a Muslim next to a Buddhist, and maybe even a contemplating atheist. Indeed, difference can be the foundation of our unity.
This year, the New Moon of Aries (Rosh Chodesh Nissan) begins on the evening of Monday, March 27th. The kabbalists teach that this is the lunar New Year, the seed level of the coming 365 days. What better time to join together, regardless of our individual paths, to infuse the seed with unity and respect?
With this in mind, I extend this personal invitation to join me for An Hour of Spiritual Unity, wherein we will all come together to read from any holy scripture that speaks to our hearts — be it the Zohar, the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Quran, the Yogi Sutras, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Pali Canon, even poetry if you would like. Those who prefer not to read can do meditation, contemplation, yoga… anything that personally awakens your spirit. The hour can be of your choosing, any time during the evening of March 27th. It can be as you get home from work or perhaps just before you go to sleep.
If you plan to join us on March 27th, tell us now how you plan to spend your hour by using #hourofspiritualunity on the social media platform of your choice.
