(Long post alert) When I was a little kid, I remember always wanting to write and make movies for some reason. I even bought a screenwriting book in 5th grade that was way over my head and I never finished reading (until recently). I ended up gravitating towards making music as I got older but my first love was always movies.
With some time to kill around Christmas 2015 I ended up writing a 20 page short film script that I shared with my dude @qbndorian who happens to be a great actor and comedian. 4 months after that I ended up filming this weird short film with a small crew over the course of 5 days with some of the funniest, most talented and best people I've ever met. And today, almost a year after we filmed the first scene we've finished the final cut and submitted it to a film festival.
I just want to thank everyone who helped out with this little project of mine. I want to give a special shout to @qbndorian who made everything I wrote 1,000,000 times better and is as funny and talented as anyone you see on TV or in the movies. I really mean that. I also want to thank my homie @theonlyblackbutterfly for bringing so much depth and life to the character I wrote specifically for her. Everyone in this movie is soooooooooo good and I hope I made you proud.
Also big shouts to @johntashiro for being a sick DP and Eddie Hellman for being so pleasant, awesome and organized. And to Alex the sound guy who we ended up finding 5 hours before we had to film our first scene! And my homie @mikeysayshi Killing it in scene like I knew he would. Whether you're in the movie, were an extra, let me use some of your music, helped with locations, etc. thanks so much for making a dream of mine come true. And big shouts to @modcupcoffee And @lb_burgerbar for letting film at your establishments 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Also, if you ever wanted to do something, just do it!
