When I first heard Hillsong would be coming to the Middle East (Dubai), I freaked out and did a couple of cartwheels (in my head) 😎
On visiting the website, I saw that they would also be coming to Bahrain but no website was up yet or further details on the event. I was torn! Should I go ahead and get tickets to Dubai where everything was set & guaranteed, or do I hold out until Bahrain would release more information and possibly risk the event being canceled (as what happened last year) and then run out of passes for the Dubai event?!? The desire to worship in my own "backyard" won and so I waited.
I'd message the organizers, check the Facebook page & visit their website. Then Lent came round & since I gave up social media & couldn't check FB for updates, I would ask my sister to check their page and message the event organizer to ask about ticket sales. In the middle of all that, I flew to Manila for 2 weeks to sort out some personal matters, and it was then that I was informed of the event launch and ticket pre-selling taking place at NEC, and that, only after the launch would the site go live.
I felt a mini cloud of sadness over me, "what if there'd be no tickets left?" and with the time difference, I'd have to wait until morning to check the site. It was then I decided to lift it all to Him, I can worry all I want but it's His will that needs to be done.
And it's been done, a dream come true to have praised the Almighty in the sandbox. It was so surreal hearing the voices I listen to, in the morning while getting ready for work, live! Tired from everything that has gone down this weekend but I'll be sure to "keep my eyes above the waves" πŸ™β€οΈ #BlessBahrain
