I'm a bit of an audio geek and so for this past year of lifestyle downsizing I packed away my desktop audio hardware and big headphones in favor of a tiny, mobile solution. I've been thinking a lot about having fewer possessions lately and how inadvertently downsizing has made me happier. For years I'd collected boxes of records, headphones, amps and speakers which I thought I needed. But all the choices I gave to myself made me less content with each item on its own, and I never felt satisfied, I always wanted another thing to build the collection. Having less has given me the ability to appreciate more of what I do have.
