Some great mental and physical expansion going down at ELDOA 3. Here instructor Bryce Turner is taking me through a detailed de-coaptation stretch for the hip. This particular course focused on an opening and strengthening of the entire rib cage, shoulder complex, and hip. It’s been nearly 3 years since I started utilizing a combination of ELDOAs and myofascial stretching as a key recovery strategy into my conditioning program.
Said simply, ELDOAs are postural exercises that increase the space within joints. These targeted postures can reduce pain, improve posture, and promote an overall restoration of balance and function in the body. Dark chocolate covered espresso beans...yessir!
If I'm looking for something light, something that I can travel with, and something without so much caffeine that I'll be kept up all day, this right here is an excellent option. And it's super tasty!

To make this, get a few bars dark chocolate (80% is my favorite) and chop/shave them down finely. Using a double broiler, slowly melt the chocolate. Then with some quality dark roast espresso beans, mix it all together and proceed by laying everything out on a cookie sheet or wire baking sheet to air dry. *For this double broiler set up I placed a pot with about 1" of water, and a glass bowl on top. The water did not touch the bowl and heat was just set under medium. Gradually, the steam from the water and stirring melted the chocolate. YUM!
