Kelsey Finn  Currently in Rwanda πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ό

Last day of medical school. What a perfect end to a crazy and intense four years. I spent it with children and their mothers who I have grown close to and created a relationship with, despite not speaking the same language. I spent it watching a child walk on his own for the first time after being in a coma with subsequent muscle wasting from an infection. I spent it holding and loving on tiny babies to give their mothers a break to prepare meals and clean their beds. I spent it laughing with a patient who, after having multiple seizures had difficulty conversing, finally was able to express that I am a muzungu. Thank you Kigali and all of the wonderful Rwandans. πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’š

This mermaid is my OG travel partner (aka my big sister) and she is joining me tonight in Rwanda! She's also bringing along my brother and mother. // can't wait to see you guys soon @finnowitz @jasonfinn @kailuafinn

Currently in the Kigali πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ό heat, wishing I could dive into the ocean. Africa is drying out my gills.

Another video of our Tanzanian adventures. All of my videos have a song we recorded playing in the background of these clips - the people are our friends singing hymns in Swahili. // this video shows the hospital we worked in. Fun fact, that baby at the end is the first baby @kellymarie delivered by c-section as the primary doctor.

Adventures in medicine. // Gonja Lutheran Hospital, Tanzania // @kellymarie

A little mix of play (safari) and working in a mobile clinic with @kellymarie . This place has my heart. ❀

Haven't been online in almost a month because I've been exploring this beautiful country with @kellymarie πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ// lots of photos and videos to flood your feed this next week.

Heading to a state with more water... although not the ocean - lakes large enough to make me feel like I'm at the beach will suffice for three years. I am so excited to share I will be doing my family medicine residency at University of Minnesota Medical Center.

stay close to anything that makes you glad you are alive.

Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing.

trying not to drown in this crazy mix of emotions and anxiety. oh, how this career path I have chosen to embark on is never boring... 😳

Hear the sound of the waves, and relax.
