Keep Growing Detroit  KGD promotes a food sovereign city where the majority of fruits and vegetables consumed by Detroiters are grown by residents within the city’s limits.

Rain Gardens to the Rescue rain garden installations start really soon and the native plants (grown by KGD right here in the city) are ready!

The GRP fall crop distribution is next week! So, this weekend would be a great time to make room for more cold weather seeds and broccoli, fennel, collard, scallion, kale, kohlrabi, radicchio or napa cabbage transplants. Tickets are now on sale for the historic 20th Annual Detroit Tour of Urban Gardens and Farms presented by Keep Growing Detroit. This year's tour will have 4 bike routes and 5 bus routes that visit nearly 50 of the city's 1,500 gardens and Farms and the amazing people that tend them.
