Cleaning up in the 30 day aftermath of hurricane Harvey in Port Aransas today has brought some important things to the front of my mind. 1-stuff is just stuff. When it's all heaped up in a pile or strewn all over the ground, it seems to say, "I am only worth what you think I am worth". 2- at our core, we humans have an instinctive love for one another that I believe comes from our literal and spiritual connection as brothers and sisters. We feel that connection most when we see others in need. Yield to that connection. 3- archive your heirloom memories and photographs. Ruined photos were the most valuable "things" I found. 4-pick a natural disaster and give your time or aid. They will need it for months to come.
