#tbt to last Thursday when we were having tea at the Plaza, riding bikes around Central Park, and casually running into celebrities on 5th Ave. This face about sums up how I felt about our last day in NYC. It was pretty much perfect! 🗽🚲🍎🌳❤️

One of the spots that was high on our list to visit in NYC was the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. I had seen the area once before. On my one day in the city 10 years ago. Then, it was just a huge construction site that was chaotic and very somber.
Today, it is a touching tribute to the men and women who lost their lives on a date that the United States will never forget. The memorial is beautiful and the new One World Trade Center is gorgeous. Standing at 1776 ft, (hopefully y’all get the significance of that date! ☺️) it is by far one of my favorite buildings in the NYC skyline! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Our second day in the city we took a walking tour across the Brooklyn Bridge and explored the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo area. This tour was by far one of my favorite things we did. The views of Manhattan from the bridge were some of my all time favorite! Highly recommend @freetoursbyfoot if you’re looking for a walking tour of the city!

The NYC skyline is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And that ladies and gentleman is why I love to travel so much. Seeing a city that is so different than the one that I call home. Seeing the way people live that is so different from the way I do. That is 100% the reason I want to see as much of this world as I can. .
“To travel is to live.”- Hans Christian Anderson 💕🍎🗽💕

Our first day in NYC was jam packed! We kicked off the trip with a 9 hour tour of the city. The tour took us to just about every major part of the city. We knocked off the majority of the must see buildings and iconic locations. I’ve had the best time ever with these two and am so excited for the next two days! 💕💕💕

June 1st means it’s the start of my summer travel! It’s been a great first week of summer but I’m ready get outta Houston!!! Here’s my summer line up:🗽🌵🇲🇽! .
P.S. I finally updated my letter board to reflect the season. (Since December it’s said “Merry Christmas” in four languages.😬) and I finally found my favorite summer flower at @traderjoes! Summertime is the best time!

This is my “summertime is here and I’m so excited” face! A fun, relaxing and partly educational summer is ahead. First up is a girls trip to NYC next week! 🍎✈️🗽 We have plans to hit up all the major sights and of course see a show! But if y’all have any suggestions send em my way!!!

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book in a single sitting. Everyone’s picked up that book....the one where the characters, setting, and story suck you in and you want to savor it but have to know what happens next. That’s what happed to me the other night when I picked up First & Then by @elmify! I’ve been in a bit of a book funk and I think I’m finally out of it! Which is good considering we only have 4 and half days of school left!!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Ps. I could use some book recommendations! What’s a book I should add to my summer to-read list?! 💕

Wishing the happiest of Mother’s Day to this pretty lady! You’re my favorite and I am so lucky to have you as my mom! 💕💕💕

Only 3 weeks of school are left and this teacher is more than ready!!!!! Bring on easy mornings, exploring new places and all the books! ☕️✈️📚 Anyone else ready for summer time?!

When I went to Disney over Spring Break back in March. One of my only must-dos was the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom. I had never seen it in person. Mostly due to the fact that I was more than a little upset it was the reason the garlands were no longer strung across Main Street USA at Christmas time. But after having seen the parade I can honestly say....I get it. Love the floats, the costumes and the music! And I guess I can let it slide that they’ve left out Princess Aurora, because how can you have the 3 good fairies and Prince Philip, but no Aurora? If only because of the Tangled float! It was my favorite! 💕💕💕 Slide left to see a few more shots of the parade!
