This Tuesday, October 16th at 6 p.m. EST over at @the.giving.collective we are coming together with the hands and hearts of the small shop community to honor and remember the life of Ariana. The auction will raise funds to help lift the burden of medical and funeral costs to her family during their difficult time. Ariana was a typical 33 year old who loved the outdoors, loved to travel, lived everyday of her life to her full potential and worked full time for a cancer research hospital known as City of hope. There she would help raise awareness and put on fundraisers for donors to help propel research for cancer and diabetes.
Unfortunately, while trying to raise awareness for cancer, Ari herself was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer. Because of the nature of this disease and her age, she was misdiagnosed 3 times by 3 different doctors. When the diagnosis finally came, it was found in the later stages.
Because of the person Ari was, she took cancer head on and never let it get the best of her. Through 3 surgeries, endless rounds of chemo and radiation, a bowel blockage that left her unable to eat for 3 months, She still fought with such grace and still continued to work full time, go to weddings, hang out with friends and family, and live her best life. It wasn’t until one day a successful surgery to remove the blockage would leave Ariana unable to maintain life on her own. Ariana is proof that just because you die, it doesn’t mean you’ve lost to cancer. She beat cancer By living her life regardless of the circumstances, she still traveled, laughed, loved, and smiled till the very end.
Let us all come together with our hands and hearts to surround Ariana’s family with love as they grieve and remember her. Head over to @the.giving.collective to preview the auction now. Thank you for showing your LOVE and SUPPORT for Ariana and her family during this time.
