I can't believe I'm on day 22 of my 30 day yoga streak! It's been great and I'm really enjoying the momentum from doing classes each day.
As I'm getting closer to the end of the 30 day challenge, I've been reflecting on some of the benefits and there's been many which I'll share on my blog once I'm done.
Until then, I'll continue dropping into the various classes and enjoying the wonderful community that @melaniebelley and the gang at @buddhabellyyogaandwellnessinc have created!

We will be tossing the packs on our backs for a 22km walk in the river valley on November 4th.
The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness and money for @woundedwarriorscanada . Our goal is to reach $5000 in donations so we would love your support.

• TRAINING OUTDOORS •

Training outdoors has a long list of benefits but one benefit is that when you train outdoors in colder weather you will burn more calories.
Now, I am not usually one to emphasise burning calories however when we think of it in terms of the small things adding up over time, an extra 7 percent of calories burned while running outside on a beautiful winter day is a small boost.
Doing this on the regular will add up over the year and will bring you closer to your goal over time.

• VISUALIZATION PRACTICE •
Visualization is a great practice and it only takes a few minutes each day.
As you close your eyes to visualize your optimal health, fitness, relationship, career and so on, don’t just focus on all the wonderful stuff that you want to happen.
Think about any obstacles which may show up and as you visualize, find ways to navigate these obstacles.

Also, visualization is only as good as the action you take so what’s your next step?

Day 18 of my 30 day yoga challenge @buddhabellyyogaandwellnessinc and I have to say, the Sunday evening Yin and Reiki class is fantastic.
@itsjustmeavery is a great teacher and it's a special treat to have some Reiki treatments with @melaniebelley during the class.
Avery likes to read a card before class and today's was about Kathumi and the message was to STAY FOCUSED ON OUR INTENTIONS, DESIRES AND ASPIRATIONS.
Great way to finish the week and get set up for Monday morning!

• MAKE TIME •

One great way to create positive momentum with respect to your nutrition is to prioritize your meal planning and preparation.
Start by selecting the meals you want to eat in the coming week.
Next plan the grocery list based on the meals.
From there, go shopping and stick to the list.
All that's left is to carve out the time in your schedule to pre chop and prepare the pieces you can, and if you can have meals cooked and ready to reheat, that saves more time.
