Stretching into splits for Day 10 #FallIntoFlexibility ๐Ÿ’•
Splits or hanumanasana is a pose that requires really open hips ans flexible hamstrings. If it is not accesible to you, you can always do the half splits version or place a block under your hips. Respect your limits; you should never feel any tension or pain. Try to relax your muscles as much as possible and let them stretch naturally.
From half splits, slowly start to deepen the pose, ideally keeping your hips squared. You can work on that by tucking the toes of your back leg and pushing through the ball of your foot. If your hip flexor is not as open, you can always choose to open your hips.
In this picture I chose to do a forward fold, but you can stay upright or do any version you want ๐Ÿ˜Š

Tomorrow's pose is #hollowback. You can choose any variation you like (pincha, headstand, handstand), and the principle for all of them is the same; the only difference is the foundation. Make sure you have enough space to fully enter your deepest backbend. When you rest your sitting bones on the wall, push through your arms, forearms or head and open your heart. You can play with your leg variations and choose to leave your head neutral or look at the floor. So many options here! Oh...and for those amazing yogis who can do a hollowback without the wall...well...TEACH US ๐Ÿ˜‚ .

How to enter:
Sit with your legs spread wide and bend the knees. Place the palms of your hands under your thighs, reaching back, fingers facing back as well. Straighten your spine and slowly walk with your hands back while at the same time slowly start straightening up your legs. You can reach the floor with your chin, keeping the heart open or you can turn your head to the side (like I did) and relax on the floor. When you're ready to exit, start bending your knees a little and walking your hands back until you can shimmy out of it ๐Ÿ˜Š Excited to see your variations!

Trying to extend both hands like...๐Ÿ˜Š Today's headstand of the day is the 'both arms extended' version, but as you can see, I am still struggling with this one. This is actually the straightest I've ever been able to get them and keep my balance ๐Ÿ˜Š Nobody's perfect and everybody is different. Respect your own limits, work hard and trust the process ๐Ÿ’™ #LetsHeadstand! ๐Ÿ’™ .

Stretching into 3-legged-dog for Day 6 of #FallIntoFlexibility :) Although the foundational version is with both hips squared, you can play around with this one by opening them and seeing how that changes things and maybe deepens the pose ๐Ÿ˜Š Try to keep your shoulders leveled and away from the ears. Feel your lats pulling down towards your lower back and extending the spine. Activate both legs and push through your pointed upper foot while at the same time reaching your other heel towards the floor :) .
