YOU GUYS. On April 22nd I had to take the HSK level 4, the Chinese Language Proficiency Test that is the most important test I've had to take thus far in my career as a forever student. I needed 180 out of 300 to pass, and I was freaking out. Results came in today after an agonizing 2+ week wait, and I scored 234! Passing means I can continue to study as a regular student at my university starting next semester, because all classes are conducted in Chinese and I am fluent enough to survive (in theory..). There are 6 HSK levels total and I need to pass level 6 before graduation, but seeing as I got level 4 down in a semester and a half of being here, I'm not too worried. TODAY IS A GOOD DAY. Congrats to my classmates who also passed, and those who didn't, 不要着急, 加油!
