So I was a little skeptical of the Supertrees, but they really are that cool. They’re steel, but have over 200 species within their structure, all soil-less and fitted with solar batteries to light up at night. Learn something new, ya know?

Traveling Myanmar has encouraged me to think through willful ignorance and negligence. And while I’m still undecided, the borderline genocide (as its currently labeled) did remind me of the insight I gleaned from visiting the Dachau Memorial. Today on Flaked please read through my impressions of Dachau, and how I’m encouraged societies can advance past inconceivable histories.

We went out on Inle Lake yesterday to tour the pagodas and some of the shops. If I were to do it again, I’d skip all the stores and go to one pagoda, Takhaung Mwetaw. There are so many stupas that I was slightly disoriented when wandering amongst them.

It was honestly just a really lovely view from the top!

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what it’s like to travel as a couple. So Michael and I recorded a podcast episode on unbabbled.com to answer ~most~ of your questions. If you’re curious, then jump on over and listen along!

If you think that looks rickety, I was standing on a bridge constructed with 200 year old wood! I feel like this wouldn’t pass safety regulations in the States
