🤡Whacky Wednesday 🤡 My experience was actually with a whack job. Driving in Los Angeles can be very whacky so you have to be both an offensive and defensive driver. But this one definitely took the torch. Whether you live in LA or any other major city, I'm sure you've had your own whacky experiences.. 😬Please comment below on what your whackiest experience on the road was. 💪🏻Tuesday Tip💪🏻Check out my YouTube channel (JZFitness) for the whole video. Thank you to my fitness model @dinoyoganalikethis for demonstrating proper Lunge form🅰️Notice he has no weights in his hands. 😏Master the lunge before you get your dumbbells. 💪🏻You only got one body, so don't destroy it. ☠️ ✨Tips to a Good Lunge✨
1) Keep your hips directly underneath your torso.
2) Avoid that back leg from being too far back otherwise it throws your back into extension and your hip into an anterior tilt
3) Avoid crunching your spine forward; stay upright with your ears over your shoulders, your shoulders over your hips and your back hip over your knee
4) Keep that front knee over your ankle, with all 10 toes facing forward
5) As you lower down, keep both knees bent at a 90 degree angle and do a slight tuck in that back hip to avoid tilting the pelvis forward
6) Avoid banging your dang back knee to the ground(check out my post from Sunday with @drjasonkarp )
7) Inhale on the way down, exhale on the way up

✨Motivation Monday✨Perfect is the Enemy of Good. In life we should never strive for perfection 😬We must always strive for our best performance. What we do in our personal lives translates into everything in our lives so being the best version of yourself stems from how you treat yourself😍 how you treat your mind 🤓your body 🤗 and your higher self😎 I had a great day yesterday with two amazing friends. 👯‍♂️My nutrition was off big time. 🍦🍦🍦But today I'm not here feeling all bad and bloated and sad that I did that. I savor those amazing times over an ice cream with a close friend because the little girl gets to play again. These treats are so interspersed in my life that my body can handle them!! 💪🏻So stop being so harsh on yourself. Start living a bit, go get a @sprinklescupcakes ice cream, and realize that your daily behaviors leading up to those special moments where you just want to do it with a dear friend, make it that much more special. Just because people are shredded doesn't mean they're necessarily fit. ❤️#tbt ❤️I agree I was adorable. But I always struggled with weight growing up. I was always that young child who was thicker than the other kids, and I never thought my body was good enough.
The struggle was real. I was very embarrassed to go swimming with the other kids. 🏊🏻‍♀️My girlfriends at the time were skinny. I ate quite poorly as a child: 🍪🍩🍿🍫🍦🍰🎂🍮🌮🍖🍟 I always had a little belly. 🎾🎾When I was in high school I was an athlete so I luckily dropped a lot of that weight. Through high school and even college, I enrolled in a gym, but always carried around a little extra body fat around my midsection. My face eventually looked lean so I was able to disguise the extra bulk.
Throughout my 20s I was blessed to fall into amazing opportunities once I relocated to Los Angeles from New York City. I met many doctors and other experts in the health and fitness fields and have submerged myself into mastering the methodology of not only losing my weight but what the heck it meant to age well through working directly with (what I believe) are the best experts in age management medicine.
I fortunately love myself now, 💞but I will never forget where I came from. That was one tough journey let me tell you. I now live in LA which people reference as "Hollywood" where what you see is more important than what you know. 🙈

It is my mission to teach as many people as I possibly humanly can how to break their chains because I broke mine. Its doable and I wrote a whole book on it! 📚But more importantly than that, I want to teach people that they don't need to kill themselves at the gym by killing their joints and aging their bodies to achieve an optimal life!
Aging well is my number one goal for myself and for those I work with. Most people think they know what this means, but it surprises me every single day to find out how little people know.

And while that little girl will always live within me, I will always understand what it took to get to where I am and what I need to do to continually evolve in my personal journey.

🤡Whacky Wednesday🤡Everyone in Los Angeles ❤️ those Santa Monica stairs. With over 100 stairs to climb, people crowd the stairs and either 🏃🏼sprint, 🏃‍♀️do every other stair or do nothing at all 👫and treat this spot as a meeting place. 🙈Either way, I see some whacky sh$@ on these stairs.
My top two are:
1) women throw their legs all the way back thinking it will help their glutes when in reality it throws their lower back out of alignment and their pelvis forward and oh yeah- maybe kicking someone behind them in the head??
2) people run up the stairs sideways 🤷🏻‍♀️
Both have absolutely no benefit.

🔥Tuesday Tip: 🔥Forward Fold and Halfway Lift.
For those of you who are Yogis or aspiring yogis, you will be exposed to this one move specifically through a Vinyasa style yoga class. ✨✨If you execute this move correctly, you will save your back for years to come. 👏🏻Otherwise if you do it the wrong way, you risk for injuring your spine and accruing chronic back pain increases. 😧This doesn't need to be you 🙏🏻so please please please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻apply these principles as of yesterday.🙈 ✅ as you forward fold lengthen your spine ✅stick your hips back ✅slightly bend your knees ✅keep your eyes on the ground at all times ✅length and through the crown of your head ✅keep your feet flat ✅only reaches far as you can touch without straining ✅take your time lowering down ✅exhale the breath as you lower
On your halfway lift ✅keep your eyes on the ground ✅firm your palms into your shins ✅keep your spine neutral ✅keep your knees slightly bent ❌Avoid ❌🆘🆘🆘
🙅🏻‍♂️straightening your legs 🙅🏻‍♂️looking up with your eyes as you forward fold 🙅🏻‍♂️looking up with your eyes on your half lift 🙅🏻‍♂️hyper- extending your back 🙅🏻‍♂️fast transitioning 🙅🏻‍♂️arching your back into forward flexion
