Here a little sequence I did by the beach including a few of my favorite 🍑BOOTY DRILLS🍑 ⠀⠀

You can do this in about 5 minutes and without any equipment. Like the last video, this is speeded up so take it slow and squeeeze those gluts 💪😅

💫 Bridge Pose: keep your knees over your heels as you push your hips up.
Optional to clasp the hands and extend through the arms. ⠀⠀
.
💫Single leg bridge pose lifts: think about touching the sky with your toes ⠀⠀
.
💫Scissor kicks: keep your hips lifted and even ⠀⠀
.
💫Eye of the needle bridge pose: cross one ankle and rest it above the opposite knee. Keep the foot flexed to protect the knee ⠀⠀
.
💫Reclined pidgeon pose: hold for 3 breaths
.
...and then have fun and stretch it out! 😘 ⠀⠀

Crescent pose or Anjaneyasana, named after Anjana the mother of superhero Hanuman...yep very much feeling this pose...swipe 👈 to see my little monkey sending you all a big fat smooch 😚

The pose resembles a divine child reaching towards the sky and the warmth of the sun. ☀️

⠀⠀
Physically it lengthens the hip flexors and quadriceps and strengthens the entire legs and gluts. If you add a backbend to it, it also opens the chest and firms the abs 🏆 ⠀⠀

Here some tips: ⠀⠀

⠀⠀
💫 Reach back through your back heel and don’t put too much weight on your front leg
.
⠀⠀
💫Be careful not to overarch the lower back, instead lengthen the tailbone towards the floor. ⠀⠀
.

💫Turn your face to the sky and enjoy the view 🙂

🔥CORE DRILLS 🔥
I get asked a lot if yoga is my only form of exercise. Nope, I love all kinds of sports and in my yoga practice I always include some Pilates inspired ABS workout. 💥

Here some of my favourite drills to keep a strong core in 10 steps:
⠀⠀
(Note that this is speeded up x3 so: slow and controlled here is key 🔑 )
⠀⠀

1. Make sure your lower back is attached to the ground at all times. Curl your shoulders off the ground and keep your neck long.
2. Alternate toe taps - knees above the hips, curl your upper body off and tap one foot at a time.
.
3. Double leg stretch - pull your knees in (breath in) and then extend your legs (breath out).
.
4. Baby Crunches
.
5. Single knee twist - extend one leg and touch elbow to opposite knee.
6. Single leg switches with bent knees.
.
7. Repeat 3.on other side and 4.
.
8. Extend legs to the sky, drop one leg at a time almost touching the floor.
.
9. Scissor cross your legs all the way down.
.
10. Stretch out in a twist.

Forearm stand 🧡
Requires strength and focus but when I first started practicing this pose it was more of a playful time that made me remember my inner child...as you have to loose the fear of falling (because you will fall!) and the more lighthearted my approach was, the easier it got (what a great metaphor for life ey?!) 🙃

Physically its strengthening your arms and shoulders and it’s a great stretch for the neck, back, and belly. 💪
⠀⠀
Here some tips..
💫 begin in forearm plank, then lift your hips and walk your feet in 💫 lead with your hips - instead of just kicking up with your feet try stacking your hips above your shoulders 💫if your elbows slide away tie a strap around your upper arms, just above the elbows and shoulder width apart. 💫Use a block pressing your palms flat on the ends of the block. Keep the wrists perpendicular to the floor and press them into the ground.
