I've spent far too much time worrying about life. Stressed about how something is going to turn out or second guessing whether I made the right decision. Questioning where I should've been instead of enjoying where I actually am.

You can't change the path you've taken in life and obsessing about how badly the future can go won't help you either. Stress makes you freeze in place, and that's not useful!
Try to believe that you're ❌HERE❌ for a reason, you're right where you're meant to be. Maybe you're dealing with big problems and that's okay. It's normal to feel bad now and again but don't let those negative thoughts stay. Avoid dwelling on hardships and focus on finding a solution.

A late #throwback to my Novice fitness competition - that πŸ₯‡I WONπŸ₯‡

I had already been lifting for 8 years before I got interested in competing, and still gave myself over 14 dedicated months (not weeks!) to prepare for my debut. I didn't think I stood a chance again the gymnasts and Professional cheerleaders I was up against but my balanced muscularity and polished routine awarded me first place! My family was there to support me and I had pushed through a tough time to achieve that goal... it was a sweet memory.

If you set a goal, FOLLOW THROUGH! You never know how it will turn out. I was happy to get on that stage alone, that was already success to me, the win was just a cherry on top πŸ’

Monday workout coming up, but first... 😴

Bench hyperextensions - great for developing strong glutes, hamstrings and erectors. Here I'm using a bench but you can also do this at home with a stability ball. Ensure your core is contracted tightly and that you bend at hips (don't round your back!). Holding a plate just overhead helps to strengthen and I'm shown doing a dropset where I started with a 25 lb plate then finished the set with 10 lbs to ensure full muscle fatigue.

I don't want to start this week with a boo, it's Monday post. Instead, I'm about to ➑spend 30 minutes writing down my #1 goal to achieve before Friday rolls around and ➑what steps I'm going to take to make this happen. πŸ›My most successful endeavours have been accomplished by meditating on the subject daily (or at least often). This includes envisioning myself being crowned #wbffchampion! Twice! A few years ago, back in 2013, I did not used to call this prayer or meditation. I just did it without thinking. My daydreams☁ during contest prep cardioπŸ’¦ sessions not only were to thank for my creative themewear ideas, but pushed me to train harder because my goal of πŸ’₯rockingπŸ’₯ the runway was clear and unwavering. πŸ‘ πŸ‘™πŸ‘‘ I would also pause halfway through my outdoor bike rides or rollerblades atop the Red River Bridge, stretching slightly before imagining myself standing centre-stage at the #thewbff, not only enjoying my t-walk but literally allowing myself to experience the announcement of 3rd place, runner-up and #champion (me!). It may sound cheesy but it is AMAZING for confidence boosting. I was working SO hard, it was extremely difficult everyday, but that belief that I *could* come out on top was joyful and gave me energy to continue fighting.
Learn to include meditation πŸ™ daily if you want to become a dreamer who goes for it! πŸ‘Š
