I want to share some things I’ve researched about #estrogendominance, that’s just as important for men as it is for women .
What this is to simplify, is when your body’s delicate balance of estrogen, o-estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone becomes unbalanced by too much estrogen. You can google this for all the symptoms, what I most commonly see in women is sluggish or no weight loss, central weight and water retention, gynecomastia in men, acne, mood swings, depression, poor sleep. .

There are many causes, the most prevalent being exogenous estrogens from plastics and food, supplements aimed to “boost testosterone” ( secret, a lot of that turns into estrogen, and no SARMs don’t fix it on a cellular level), poor estrogen metabolism.
.
Fact is, a few “old school “ prep coaches are making me a lot of money by ignoring this issue in their clients. They prep their client for one show, it works,then when their clients body resists cutting for a second or third show,or their diet stalls out and they accuse the client of cheating instead of addressing underlying hormonal issues that were exaggerated by a strict diet. Without giving away ALL of my secrets, it is well known that restricted dieting allows a few bad bugs to grow in your gut that kill the good Lactobacillus and gasseri species which are responsible for decreasing around 20% of your circulating estrogen. Good news is, it’s totally fixable❤️❤️❤️

One thing I’d like to offer, is that I developed these programs because I know what it feels like. You diet your ass off, look the way you want, then literally have no clue how to keep it. Truth is, it’s unsustainable.... scroll down my page. .
. My most LOVED looks I was absolutely miserable. Tired, hungry, weak. ... but I hid most of it. It’s our mantra, no days off, harder, heavier, faster, more...... believe me, eventually your body will fight you , it’s not if, it’s a matter of when. This is a picture of me on the last day of my vacation, drinking the Entire time..... after I had just finished round 1 of my probiotic protocol, 2 months post show. I decreased my guts efficiency at absorbing calories, and tightened the junctions to prevent reacting badly to any food I ate. Just a matter of knowing which probiotics, and how to eat to get them to stick around. #transformationtuesday .....the how I transitioned back to “normal” life after competing for 3 years. I was always on a “cut”, a “ clean bulk”, planning meals, tweaking them, always worried if I didn’t get in the planned lift or cardio I’d blow up and fail. That mindset is not only unsustainable, but also tiring and not paying rent in my mind. I spent way too much energy and beautiful thought space on worrying about my looks, how the judges would perceive my gains, etc. I want to spend every bit of that now only on self love and love for others. This is me on Sunday after vacation ( about to hit the crazy Durham fair lol) just allowing my body to be. I refused to bring “ clean” foods on vacation. I went and ate and drank what I wanted. This seems obvious, but for competitors it can be hard letting go of the control. Fact is for me, the control of show prep got me through some tough times in my life when I had none. It served its purpose for sure, however it’s time to listen to my body, make good choices, and just lift because I truly enjoy it and it feels good. .

I learned this year, sometimes , life will leave you in a “waiting room”. Nothing is happening and you’ll be left alone. Last year at this time, I was completely alone. I never could have imagined what was in store. So I learned to just be alone, eat alone, lift alone. Best advice I ever got ( and paid for lol love you my therapist!) was to get comfortable being alone..... make yourself promises you’ll keep....learn what YOU like, keep doing what you love. Eventually, and usually not as long as you’d think, the universe will start to match you with people JUST like you. Have yourself a party in the “waiting room “..... best is always yet to come

It’s sold refrigerated in pharmacies, and my goal was to ease food sensitivities and improve my metabolism.... I was going to wait 6 full weeks before I posted, however my results have been so OUTSTANDING I just had to share. I’m going to do a few more dedicated posts on the benefits, however just to give you an idea of the potency, it has 100Billion good bugs, culturelle and florastor are around 500 million to 5billion. I’m happy to share exactly what I’ve done each prep and how it’s affected my body over the course of 3 years. I’ve had my metabolism tested throughout the course of the 3 years I’ve done shows, and it’s ranged from 1,000-1600 cal.
Why YOU may need a “diet break” is exactly what I’m about to explain.
Your body is AMAZING. The more you exercise, the more efficient it becomes at conserving energy. Makes sense... if you give it less food, it will burn less food! I’ve done 4 reverse diets, tried keto, paleo, iifym, carb cycling, intermittent fasting, and low carb high protein. No matter what the macro breakdown, if you are having to increase cardio and it’s taking you longer to respond, or you’re NOT responding, chances are it’s time for a break.

Ohhhhh you guys, I told you I was working on my website, and it just went live loves !!!!! What began as a way of helping people look better has turned itself into a small business unlike any other I’ve seen. In a nutshell, I architect Nutritional plans and exercise recommendations for ( mainly) people with chronic conditions. I’m branding it “ Lifestyle” medication management because as a pharmacist I understand a lot of medication is unavoidable and very helpful. A lot of accounts on IG tout “ natural “ food based cures, which are actually effective, but really impractical for most people. So if your antidepressants,immunologics,thyroid medication etc are making you feel but NOT look better, it sort of became my purpose to find a way for patients to achieve both. Not to sound shallow, but if we stabilize a disease ( panic disorder, depression, diabetes, MS, and arthritis to name a few I work with )and make someone gain 40 lbs, lose their hair, have terrible acne, that’s not acceptable in 2018 and yes there is a better way. Physicians are very outcome driven, which is good to a degree. Most don’t have the time, or really the concern that you also look good on the beach.
I do.
Because it’s more than that. A person who looks good and FEELS good can now have the FREEDOM to fulfill their life’s purpose. They have the confidence to meet who they need to meet, take the chances needed to chase their dreams. My favorite case to date has no before and after, because the success came in what DIDNT happen. I helped coach a beautiful lady who was about to embark on a 6 week steroid-taper. Her doctor told her she’s probably put on 20-30 lbs and it was just part of the package. NO WAY not my ladies I told myself. We put her on a carb cycle and did carb backloading 2/7 days, with 2 keto days a week. Girlfriend put on 2lbs over the 6 weeks, das it. I am a pharmacist not a dietitian, so as you can imagine I’ve had to enlist a registered RD and take out extra insurance to do this, but I LOVE it, all of it. There is a better way, there’s always something that can be done.
