Repost @dalePartridge Today, I've watched countless Christians post "Not my president." to their social media feeds. I would encourage them to consider their position in the face of their Lord's instruction found in Romans 13: 1-2. "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves." God doesn't call His people to anarchy. God doesn't call his people to passivity either. But God doesn't expect us to follow only the scriptures that align with our emotions. Instead, He desires us to yield our hearts to His Word regardless of how our feelings or intelligence may interfere. Donald Trump isn't our savior. Nor does he align with God's character. But if we're only submitting to scripture that meets our understanding, who is really on the throne? You or God?
