amazing @insideoutproject in Nepal ! Here is their message :
After 20 years, I got the opportunity to return to Nepal to interact with villages deep in the mountains of the Himalayas. The rural communities of Solukhumbu District in Deusa shared with me their life stories, their beliefs, their culture and their needs. Placing in their hands the tool to create, and the space to express themselves, @insideoutproject enabled them to share their pride, culture and their lived reality about Climate Change. Their storied revolved around how to achieve sustainable development through community empowerment without disturbing the cultural and social harmony of mountain and hilly areas. They explored ideas of how they want to improve local livelihood, ensure adequate management and access to natural resources by local communities, and reduce vulnerabilities of mountain communities to environmental disasters.
Their voice: “I love Nepal, I love the place I was born.” “I am a farmer, [I] like to see Deusa green and organic. “ “Being a farmer , I represent a local agriculture group. Learning to adapt with modern agro-based technology.” “Lets keep the environment clean and have a healthy life.” Thanks for all the love and support
