People who don't exercise always wonder what the appeal is of putting ourselves through all that hard work and effort. And besides the looking great, feeling great, being healthy, being more physically capable (which is more than enough I think) it's an addiction.
People who try for a month and give up will never understand. Once you get over that first hump where everything hurts all the time and you don't see lots of progress, everything becomes worth it. You start seeing progress.
You start looking skinnier, you're muscles start looking bigger, you start lifting heavier weights and running a little faster for a little longer. You recover faster so you hurt less for less time. You have more energy all the time. It's a great feeling. And the more consistently you workout the more improvements you see in all these areas.
It's infinitely more effective than fad diets and fitness shortcuts because it's addictive and it feels amazing to see that progress. It's the healthiest addiction you'll ever find.
