There is something truly special about the beginning of December for us. Our New Zealand honeymoon, the night Tom proposed to me with orchids and candles in our living room after a cooking class (12/12/15), to our travel adventures and love of exploring Estes Park...and to think, those are just some of our favorite memories and adventures within the past two years.
Tom and I are so thrilled to announce that on December 9th, our greatest joy decided to arrive to us and the world....early, to the notoriously almost always late couple. :) I was 37 weeks and two days pregnant, convinced this little girl would arrive sometime in Jan, after her guess date. She had other plans for us. I am so entirely grateful to have had an incredibly positive birthing experience at Prentice Hospital with my midwife Meredith, doula Heather, my love, Tom, Juline and Mom. Carrie was also amazing as she documented this journey. I can not wait to see some of those moments. This is all still surreal! Tom and I are happy, tired and grateful. Willow is healthy and oh so tiny. These photos were taken 24 hours after she was born by Bella Baby Photography. They stop by to visit every baby at Prentice. These photos are just beautiful!
Willow Christine Smith was born on Saturday, December 9th at 6:17 a.m. She measured at 6lbs and 8oz at 19.5 inches.
Little Lo or Lo Lo is in honor of sharing the same nickname as my Mom. Her middle name is after her yia-yia (Grandma in Greek). We love her so much. And so the adventure begins. #willowchristineadventures
